Therapy to help you
feel more like yourself.
Integrative therapy for trauma, grief, bereavement,
and emotional overwhelm - offering a
grounded space for reflection, healing, and change.

About Me
I am a trauma-informed counsellor and psychotherapist with a special interest in trauma,Β grief bereavement, relational dynamics, emotional healing and self-development.I understand that seeking therapy can feel vulnerable, and I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to creating meaningful and lasting change. My approach is warm, reflective compassionate, and grounded in providing a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel head, understood, and supported.I work collaboratively with clients to explore emotions, life experiences, behavioural patterns, relationships, identity, self-esteem, and personal growth at a pace that feels safe and managable.I recognise the impact that trauma, loss, and difficult relational experiences can have on emotional well-being, self-worth, and connection with others. Alongside my professional training, I am passionate about supporting individuals in developing greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, healthier boundaries, and a deeper understanding of themselves. My aim is to help clients feel empowered, supported, and less alone in navigating life's challenges.I offer online therapy sessions and face-to-face appointments via home visits. I am based in Telford, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, and other surrounding areas. π

My Approach
My approach as a therapist is grounded in creating a calm, steady, and non-judgemental space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. I work collaboratively, holding clients as the expert in their own experience while offering thoughtful reflection, gentle challenge, and emotional containment where needed. My practice is integrative and trauma-informed, with a focus on helping clients make sense of patterns, strengthen self-awareness and build healthier internal and relational boundaries. I place emphasis on depth of understanding and supporting the clients to explore what lies beneath their current difficulties, so meaning insight and change can emerge over time.
I work with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, supporting clients to understand patterns, prices experiences, and build more stability and self-trust.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You don't have to have everything clearly defined before reaching out, often it starts with a sense that something feels overwhelming, stuck, or painful to carry alone.
What I Can Help With

π± Trauma & Difficult Past Experiences π±
Support for past experiences that continue to impact your life. Including childhood trauma, experiences of emotionally harmful or controlling family systems, emotional neglect, cohesive control, domestic abuse, abusive & controlling relationships, narcissistic dynamics, and unpredictable experiences that still feel present in your body or relationships today.Therapy can help you make sense of how the past experiences may still be affecting your emotions, relationships and sense of safety in the present. Together, we work gently to process what has felt overwhelming and build a greater sense of stability, grounding, and self-trust.
π± Grief, Bereavement & Loss π±
Compassionate support through loss, grief and the process of adjusting to change. Including death of a loved one - a person or a pet, anticipated loss, complicated grief, and the emotional impact that can follow when life no longer feels the same. Grief can feel unpredictable and isolating, and there is no "right way" to move through it. Therapy offers space to process what has been lost at your own pace.Therapy can offer a steady space to process the pain and impact of loss, whether recent or something carried for a long time. Together, we make space for your grief as it is, without pressure to move on - supporting you to find moments of meaning, grounding, and connection again in your own time.
π± Anxiety & Emotional Overwhelm π±
Helping you understand and manage overwhelming emotions and inner turmoil. Including feeling easily triggered, shut down, emotionally flooded, or finding emotions difficult to understand or manage.Emotional overwhelm is often linked to experiences where emotions were not safely received, understood, or contained in the past. Overtime, the nervous system can become more reactive, making it harder to stay regulated in the present.Emotional overwhelm can also show up physically, such as tension, exhaustion, racing thoughts, difficulty concentrating, or feeling like you need to withdraw in order to cope.Therapy can help you slow these patterns, understand your triggers, and develop a greater sense of internal steadiness and control.
π± Neurodivergence Support π±
I also support clients with Autism and ADHD, and other neurodivergent experiences, particularly around emotional regulation, rejection sensitivity, overwhelm, and self-understanding in daily life.Therapy can helpyou understand your neurodivergent experience in a way that reduces shame and increases self-awareness. We focus on building tactical and emotional regulation strategies that support you in managing overwhelm, improving self-understanding, and working with your brain rather than against it.
Therapy is not about fitting your experience into a category, but about making sense of what you are carrying in a way that helps you feel more grounded, connected, and able to move forward. If you are unsure whether what you are experiencing fits here, you are still welcome to get in touch. We can think it through together.
Qualifications & Experience
I am a professionally training counsellor and psychotherapist offering integrative, relational therapy for adults seeking depth, emotional clarity, and lasting psychological change.I hold a 1:1 BSc in Counselling, alongside professional counselling training in integrative psychotherapy. My training integrated person-centred, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed approaches, enabling me t work both with present-day challenges and the underlying emotional and relational patterns that shape them.I have particular experience working with ADHD and neurodivergent clients, supporting difficulties with emotional regulation, overwhelm, rejection sensitivity, and patterns of self-criticism or burnout. My work in this area is grounded in both clinical understanding and a nuanced awareness of how neurodivergence impacts emotional experience, identity and relationships.A key part of my work includes psycho-education within sessions - helping clients understand their emotional responses, behavioural patterns, and nervous system reactions in a way that reduces shame and increases self-awareness. This process often supports clients to make sense of experiences that have previously felt confusing, overwhelming, and self-critical.Alongside my core training, I engage in ongoing professional development to ensure my practice remains ethically grounded, current, and clinical robust.Clients often seek me out when they are ready to not just manage symptoms, but to understand themselves more deeply and create meaningful, sustainable change in how they relate to themselves and others.
Areas & Support
I work with clients both online and in-person, offering flexibility depending on what feels most accessible and comfortable. Many people prefer online sessions for the convenience and privacy, while others feel more at ease with face-to-face work in their own home.I offer in-person therapy through home visits within Telford & Wrekin, Shrewsbury, Market Drayton, Wolverhampton, and surrounding villages in North Shropshire. πThis can be very helpful if leaving the home feels difficult, or if you feel more grounded in a familiar environment. If you are slightly outside these areas, feel free to get in touch and we can explore whether home visits or online sessions may be suitable.Home visit availability is dependent on location and scheduling. If I am unable to offer in-person sessions in your area, online therapy is always available as an alternative. If you are unsure whether I cover your area, you are welcome to contact me and I shall let you know what options are available.

Consultation
Beginning of therapy can feel Iike a significant step, and I understand that beginning therapy can feel daunting. I aim to make the process feel as comfortable, collaborative, and approachable as possible. The initial consultation offers a gentle starting point where we can explore your needs, discus what has brought you to therapy, and consider how we might work together. It also provides an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the therapeutic process.I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation to provide a safe and supportive space for us to briefly explore what you may be looking for from counselling. There is no pressure or obligation to continue following the consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in the first initial session? πThe initial session is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. There is no pressure to share everything immediately - we work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.How often do sessions take place? πMost clients attend weekly sessions to create consistency and therapeutic momentum, though this can be discussed based on your individual needs. How long does therapy last? πTherapy varies from person to person, depending on your needs and what you would like to explore. Some people attend for a shorter period of time to focus on a specific issue, while others choose longer-term work to explore deeper patterns and experiences. We will regularly review how things are going together so that therapy continues to feel useful and appropriate for you.
Is therapy confidential? πConfidentiality is a key part of the therapeutic relationship and is taken very seriously. I work within the ethical guidelines of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means what you share in sessions remain private. There are rare exceptions where confidentiality may need to be broken, such as if there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or where required by law. Wherever possible, this would always be discussed with you first.Confidentiality is fully explained and agreed as part of our initial working agreement before therapy begins, so you feel clear and informed from the outset.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me with your queries. π§
